Qualifications and employment:
Jean, BSc DipEd (Macquarie University, Sydney), underwent training by the Department of School Education, NSW, for the position of Teacher Librarian, and in 2009 as a Drug Educator. She has taught in schools for over 30 years as a teacher and Teacher Librarian, and taught a Drug Education program for 9 years. She was a book reviewer for the NSW Department of Education SCAN, NSW (2011-2013).

She is a long-term member of the Australian Society of Authors, Omega Writers and the Children’s Book Council of Australia, Northern Sydney Sub-branch, (Minutes’ Secretary), and a recent member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI).
